Here's a picture of the dirt track I ran last month. This is me leading with Junaid from Bangalore tailing me. This went on for 5 whole laps.

Managed to keep him at bay till the checkered flag.

RE visit

Got an opportunity to do something this past weekend that I've been wanting to do for the past 6 years!

Flew down to Chennai for some work, but in the middle of all the chaos also managed some time to visit the Royal Enfield factory.

Was so much fun being in the company of (so many) brand new REs. Thanks to Rajkumar of RE who was kind enough to take me through the various parts of the factory, the assembly line, engine assembly, paint shop, chroming unit, the test dynamos and the test track.

One more thing off the to-do list ;)

Bid Adieu : Sukhoi

Today morning was probably the last time I rode my RE Electra 4s.

like I've mentioned in my previous posts, had got her around 6 years back.

Will probably be making a deal for an LB 500: a year old and 10k on the odometer. Hopefully this works out. Will have two LB500s in the parking lot then ;)

Weekend ride to Pune

This past weekend was time dedicated to some laid back fun.

The plan was to get away from bombay and chill for the weekend in Pune.

It was also time for a decent ride to Pune( I've lost count of the number of times I've done the bbay-poona ride).
Nonetheless, the ride was fun. Started at 2200 hours from Powai on friday night. Rode out on Sunday from Pune after spending a couple of nights there with some friends.
All in all, a good chilled out weekend spent with some friends.

This ones my first RE and also my first bike. Got her in 2005, straight after my last board exam.

Although its a 350, it can really kick ass ;)

My bike on which I rode to Ladakh this past summer. Technically this belongs to my younger brother (who now has to do with my 2004 electra) ;)

This one's a year and a half old now.
Done around with 35,000kms on it and she's on her second block piston kit!

RE Rider Mania 2010, Goa!

The last couple of weeks have been crazy! Amazing riding experience to Goa and back; coupled with all the fun that I had at RE Rider Mania 2010.

Now I'm back to work here in Bombay with no leaves in sight. The next big ride doesn't look close. Nevertheless; waiting for bigger and better things to happen on the riding front. Get paid to ride perhaps? Who knows!
